short version
oeper.dev does not use advertising or analytics cookies and does not track you across other sites. It stores a small amount of data in your browser that the site needs in order to work.
what is stored on your device
| what | purpose | type |
|---|---|---|
| sign-in session (Firebase Authentication, in your browser's local storage or IndexedDB) | keeps you signed in | strictly necessary |
oe_device_id | a random id so the signed-in devices list in settings can tell your devices apart | strictly necessary, only when signed in |
| theme, font, background and layout choices; sort and view options in files; read markers in messages; saved documents in the office tools; the notice choice below | remember your settings on this device | preferences you chose, never sent to us except where a feature syncs your own documents |
| cookies set by Cloudflare (for example a short-lived security cookie) | protect the site from bots and abuse | strictly necessary |
| cookies set by Google when you use the "sign in with google" popup | google's own sign-in on google.com | set by google on its own domain, see google's policy |
third parties that see your browser
When a page loads fonts and icons from Google Fonts, Google receives your IP address. If you attach a PDF to epic AI, your browser also downloads the PDF reading library from jsDelivr, which receives your IP address too. No other advertising or analytics service is loaded on oeper.dev pages. A few tools hosted on the site (such as game or editor embeds) load their own libraries and may contact their own servers, see their pages for details.
consent
Because we only use strictly necessary storage and preferences you chose, the law in most places does not require a consent banner. We show a small notice once so you know this. If we ever add anything optional such as analytics, we will ask first, and you will be able to say no.
controlling it
You can clear site data in your browser settings at any time. If you do, you will be signed out and your saved preferences on this device will reset. Blocking all storage will stop sign-in from working.
More detail on the data we hold about you is in the privacy policy. Questions: [email protected].
